bio + cv

Francis Rivera is a photojournalist .

He was born in Queens, N.Y. and raised in Rockaway, N.J. He is a graduate of Delbarton High School, where he first began studying photography.

He is based in Washington, D.C., where he studied international affairs, development and journalism at the George Washington University.

The foundation of his photojournalism experience was realized at The GW Hatchet, an editorially and financially independent student newspaper at GWU.

He was previously a photographer at The Hill, where he covered national politics and the federal government.

He is currently a producer at National Geographic. He arrived at Nat Geo working at the digital news photo desk before joining the digital producers team.
